Chicago Calls for Peace with Justice in Colombia

On March 6th across Latin America, Europe and North America there will be marches and protest actions demanding an end to state terrorism by the Colombia government. The March 6th actions were called by organizations in Colombia, including trade unions, human rights groups, student organizations and more. See www.movimientodevic timas.org for more information.

3,855,000 displaced persons - 31,000 "disappeared persons" since 1990 3,000 known mass graves with 10,000 bodies - 800 murders a year by paramilitaries 1,771 trade unionists murdered in the last decade Since Uribe became president in 2002 and began his policy of "democratic security", 955 people have been executed extra-judicially and 7,500 detained arbitrarily. 486 people were assassinated in 2007.

No more mass graves, no more forced displacement, no more paramilitaries, no more paramilitary politicians, no more crimes by the State, no more US military aid to Colombia!
