The Trials of Amparo Torres
Amparo Torres was the first Colombian trade unionist that the Colombia Action Network ever toured. For many of us, she is the bravest person we have ever met. She is a true leader of the Colombian people, an excellent representative of the strength and beauty of Colombian women, and despite Amparo's hardships, she is determined to speak out against injustice. We can only hope to emulate Amparo's dedication to the struggle of the Colombian people for democracy, equality, and independence from U.S. domination.
